Rates

Private Pay

All of our therapists accept private pay and abide by the same intentional rate structure, adapted from Kenya Crawford’s "Creating an Anti-Oppressive Rate Structure."

This rate structure is opt-in, meaning clients may always choose to simply pay each individual therapist’s full rate fee for individual and/or relational therapy. However, if clients are interested in determining a fee based on their lifestyle and background, they may review the following statements and use the guide below to determine their other private pay options. Final rates must be agreed upon between therapist and client.

STEP ONE

Answer “true” or “false” to the following ten questions. Keep track of your how many “true” answers you have.

1 — I have no dependents, and I am only financially responsible for myself.

2 — I can afford all minimum payments on bills and credit cards.

3 — I am INELIGIBLE and/or UNRELIANT on government assistance programs (e.g. Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, etc.).

4 — I have zero debt/my debt is very manageable.

5 — I do not attend school at all or I attend school part-time.

6 — I have attended private education institutions and/or I have an advanced degree.

7 — My family has 3+ generations of voluntary US citizenship.

8 — I have a safety net comprised of people who can assist me financially if needed.

9 — I and/or my immediate family is enrolled in private health insurance and/or we could easily access it if needed.

10 — My family owns 1+ home(s) and/or land. (N/A for indigenous folks)

STEP TWO

Full Rate — 100%

Rate information can be found on each clinician’s bio page!

Reparations — 20-30% of full rate

TRUE to 0-1 questions

For example: $30-$45/session if clinician’s full rate is $150/session

Solidarity — 30-60% of full rate

TRUE to 2-3 questions

For example: $45-$90/session if clinician’s full rate is $150/session

Sustain — 60-80% of full rate

TRUE to 4-6 questions

For example: $90-$120/session if clinician’s full rate is $150/session

For example: $150/session

Redistribution — 125% of full rate

TRUE to 9-10 questions

If you qualify for this tier, you may still opt to pay Full Rate instead.

Please also note that by opting into the Redistribution rate, you are allowing those in our community with less resources to afford therapy services. Thank you!

Insurance

All of our therapists are currently in the process of being credentialed with major insurance providers. Thank you for your patience as we expand our accessibility.

What to ask insurance providers:

  • What is my co-pay for outpatient psychotherapy with a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT)?

  • Do I have a deductible? How much of it has to be met?

  • Are there any limits to my plan (number of sessions, telehealth, etc.)?

We encourage potential clients to verify their insurance benefits directly with their insurance providers to avoid unexpected costs.
